Brands should go global online

According to Newman, the U.K. government is not doing enough to encourage education and hands-on experience in the field of online selling in young professionals. If the U.K. wants to recover economically and spur growth, retailers must expand their consumer base online. In addition, sellers can launch pop-up shops to complement their ecommerce platform, rather than operate physical retail outlets year-round.

One example of a seller taking advantage of the cost-benefits of online selling is Furniture Plus, a furniture supplier. The retailer recently announced it will offer an interest-free credit option for shoppers of the online store. Using the option, customers will be able to pay for their furniture products in installments without having to pay interest along the way. Customers will be able to spread out the cost of their purchases, making furnishing a home more affordable, while enjoying the high-quality products from the seller.
